A stone facade is the first thing anyone sees of a villa, and heat, wind and moisture work on it every day. How each panel is fixed matters more than how it looks on handover day. This page sets out Falcon’s method for villa stone cladding, and what to check when you compare contractors.
The materials
We clad villa facades in travertine, other natural stone or porcelain, depending on the design.

Checking the stone
Before ordering, we check the thickness, colour batch and finish of the stone.
A sample on the wall
Next, we install a sample panel on the wall on site. With travertine, tone and veins vary naturally from one slab to the next, so the client sees the real facade before the full area goes up. The sample settles the tone distribution, the vein direction, the joint width, the line alignment and the cuts at edges and corners.

The joints
Joint width and layout follow the design, and we confirm them on the site sample. For example, the client can compare open 3 mm joints with tight joints on the same wall before deciding.

Fixing every panel mechanically
On facades, we fix every panel, stone or porcelain, with stainless steel anchors fixed into the wall or the structure. The anchors carry the panel, so it does not rely on adhesive alone. Even if a bond weakens over the years, the panel stays in place.
Who checks it
Every Falcon project has a dedicated site engineer. The site engineer inspects and signs off each stage, followed by the client’s consultant if there is one, before the next trade starts. In addition, the work follows the Saudi Building Code, the approved drawings and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Shortcuts to watch for on cheaper jobs
- Adhesive-only fixing on the facade.
- No sample on the wall before installation.
The result: heat and moisture weaken the adhesive bond behind the stone over time, and a panel can come loose and fall without warning.

Questions to ask any contractor about villa stone cladding
- How will each facade panel be fixed, and with what anchors?
- Will you install a sample on the wall before the full facade goes up?
- How do you check the thickness, colour batch and finish of the stone?
- How will the joint width and layout be decided?
